"The biggest deficit that we have in our society and in the world right now is an empathy deficit. We are in great need of people being able to stand in somebody else's shoes and see the world through their eyes."
At this Grad Hack, our aim is to tackle this deficit.
We believe sharing knowledge, emotions and experiences can help make teams better.
Together we want to find innovative ways to:
...make group work not suck?
...make collaboration easier?
...make work more human again?
Make / build / create
Design a prototype, build a website, create a chatbot
Once you have come up with an idea on how to make teams better we want to help you build, make and create it!
Show us your amazing work
We are looking for students, thinkers, innovators, makers, and leaders, to learn more about empathy, and build a way to reduce the empathy deficit.
Your team will have the chance to learn new skills, from coding, to design, to even embedded systems. With these skills, you'll be able to invent and create innovative ways to encourage and enable teams to be empathetic. The knowledge you create can benefit everyone!
What you'll learn about empathy:
What is it?
How do we embrace it?
Understanding and Awareness
Team Perspective Taking
Using your new-found knowledge, you, and the team you form, will create an amazing way to embody empathy.
